The TEP joystick uses 3mm dia. screws fastened to a pcb base. The moving stalk of the switch (a 3mm dia. screw or rod) is force- fitted into a spring, which is fitted over the centre screw on the PCB. When the stalk is moved, it makes contact with one or more of the surrounding screws to close a circuit. A small amount of Polymorph is included in the pack to make a switch top.
