Understanding how a wind turbine works involves pupils in using some challenging concepts, such as energy and power, the conservation of energy and the efficiency of energy transfers. SEP has developed a model to support practical activities and to help explain the science behind wind power. This publication is mainly aimed at KS4 but can be easily adapted for KS3.
