The SEP pack ‘Motors and Electromagnetism’ provides support for
science teachers in teaching this area of the curriculum, particularly those
who would not regard themselves as physics specialists. The activities aim to
provide students with an understanding of the key principles underlying everyday
devices, to encourage a sense of wonder and curiosity about scientific phenomena,
and to develop a better appreciation of the links between science, technology
and society. (KS3 and KS4)
See below for the practical resources that have been identified and developed
specifically for use with the activities in this booklet.
Further resources can be downloaded from the 'Motors and Electromagnetism' page on the SEP
website, including an electronic version of the booklet. (Access
is for SEP Teacher Associates - this scheme is free
to join for science teachers and technicians in UK secondary schools.) |
