The SEP booklet ‘Hot and Cold’ looks at how thr use of thermocolour
film, a fascinating material that changes colour depending on the temperature.
Thermocolour film is an ideal resource for allowing pupils to explore qualitative
ideas about hot and cold, temperature differences and energy flows. It allows
a very wide range of phenomena to be explored much more readily than using a
thermometer. (KS3 and KS4)
See below for the practical resources that have been identified and developed
specifically for use with the activities in this booklet.
Further resources can be downloaded from the 'Hot
and Cold' page on the SEP
