The SEP booklet ‘Energy Storage’ includes ideas for teaching about
energy storage in the classroom, student activities and additional background
science for teachers. There is a range of practical activities that can be undertaken
with the accompanying kits: they can be used qualitatively to develop simple
ways of talking about energy, and can be extended to quantitative work (including
the use of the SEP Energymeter). (KS3 and KS4).
See below for the practical resources that have been identified and developed
specifically for use with the activities in this booklet.
Further resources can be downloaded from the 'Energy Storage' page on the SEP
website, including an electronic version of the booklet. (Access
is for SEP Teacher Associates - this scheme is free
to join for science teachers and technicians in UK secondary schools.) |
