The Eurobot Competition
The Eurobot (UK) Championship
took place at the Trent Park campus of Middlesex University, on Friday,
2 May 2008 where the student team from Middlesex University were declared
the winners. MUTR supported the event by providing prizes for the champions
and the two runners-up.

The winning team:
Created
in 1998, Eurobot is an international amateur robotics contest open to
teams of young people, organised either in student projects or in independent
clubs. Eurobot takes place in Europe ut also welcomes countries from other

In 2008, 27
countries, represented by 400 teams, will be involved in this science
and technology contest, through its national qualifications and
the international final that will take place in Heidelberg, Germany.
Eurobot (UK) Championship
This event has been held at Middlesex for the last four years, it involves
teams of two students building small autonomous robots to compete in a
90 sec televisual competition. This year’s theme was entitled ‘Mission
to Mars’.
The
winners of this event will represent the UK in the world finals in Heidelberg,
Germany 21-25 May 2008. They have also been presented with cash prizes
generously donated by MUTR.
